Event Photographer Pro is designed with privacy first. We collect different types of information depending on which features you use:
Free Features (Default)
- When using free native sharing, NO contact information is stored
- Photos are processed locally on your device only
- No personal data is transmitted to our servers
- Complete offline functionality
Premium Features (Pay-as-you-go Credits OR Unlimited Subscription)
- Phone numbers for professional SMS delivery
- Email addresses for professional email delivery
- Photos uploaded to secure cloud hosting (only when sharing)
- Usage statistics for credit management
- Apple transaction data for purchase and subscription verification
- Subscription status and entitlement tracking (via RevenueCat)
Pricing Options
- Pay-as-you-go: Purchase credit packs (20, 50, or 150 credits)
- Unlimited Monthly: $4.99/month for unlimited online photo sharing
- Unlimited Annual: $39.99/year for unlimited online photo sharing (Best Value - Save $20!)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information only for the premium services you purchase:
- Professional SMS delivery to recipients you specify
- Professional email delivery with custom templates
- Secure cloud hosting for photo sharing links
- Credit usage tracking for billing accuracy
- QR code generation for instant sharing
We NEVER use your information for:
- Marketing to you or your guests
- Selling data to third parties
- Advertising or tracking across apps
- Any purpose other than premium photo delivery
3. Third-Party Services (Premium Features Only)
When you purchase and use premium features, we use the following trusted third-party services to deliver professional quality:
SMS Delivery Service
- Twilio: Professional SMS delivery with delivery confirmation

- Used only to send photos you specifically request to be shared
- Consent Process: Users voluntarily provide phone numbers at photo booth events and explicitly request photo delivery via SMS
- No Marketing: Only requested event photos are sent - no promotional messages
Email Delivery Service
Cloud Photo Hosting
- Cloudinary: Secure photo hosting and delivery

- Photos are hosted temporarily for sharing and QR code generation
Subscription Management
- RevenueCat: Subscription and in-app purchase management

- Manages subscription status, entitlements, and auto-renewal
- Validates purchases with Apple's servers
- No payment information is stored (handled by Apple)
Important: These services only process data when you actively use premium features. Free features use your device's native capabilities and never share data with third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: All photos and app data are stored locally on your device by default.
- Premium Cloud Storage: When you use premium features, photos are temporarily hosted on secure cloud servers for sharing purposes only.
- Data Encryption: All premium data transmission uses industry-standard encryption.
- Automatic Cleanup: Premium photos are automatically deleted from cloud servers after 30 days.
5. Premium Credit Charging, Subscription, and Cloud Upload Policy
Subscription Benefits:
With an active Premium Unlimited subscription (Monthly or Annual):
- ✅ Unlimited online photo sharing - no credits required
- No per-photo charges while subscription is active
- Automatically renews unless cancelled
- Cancel anytime through Apple App Store
Pay-as-you-go Credit Charging (Without Subscription):
When Premium Mode is enabled in Event Settings and you don't have an active subscription, 1 credit is automatically charged for every photo taken, regardless of whether you:
- Delete the photo after taking it
- Navigate away without sharing
- Use any sharing features (SMS, Email, QR codes)
- Take additional photos in Party Mode
Cloud Upload Timing:
Photos are only uploaded to secure cloud hosting when you choose to share them using premium features (SMS, email, QR code, etc.). If you do not share a photo, it remains stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Photo Strip Charging:
For photo strips (3 photos), you are charged 1 credit total when the complete strip is compiled, not per individual photo (or included with subscription).
What 1 Credit (or Subscription) Includes:
Each credit or active subscription provides unlimited access to all premium services for that photo including professional SMS delivery, professional email delivery, cloud hosting, and QR code generation.
To Avoid Charges:
Disable Premium Mode in Event Settings to use free native sharing instead.
6. Your Rights and Controls
You have complete control over your data:
- Enable or disable contact data collection at any time
- View all stored contact information
- Delete individual contacts or all stored data
- Export your data in JSON format
- Use the app entirely offline with native sharing
7. GDPR Compliance
If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to Access: View all personal data we hold
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
- Right to Erasure: Delete your personal data
- Right to Portability: Export your data
- Right to Object: Opt-out of data processing
8. Data Retention
- Local Photos: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear photos manually.
- Premium Shared Photos: Hosted in cloud for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
- Contact Information: Processed in real-time for delivery, not permanently stored.
- Usage Data: Credit usage history kept for billing purposes, deleted after 12 months.
9. Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Event organizers are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent when minors participate in photo booth activities.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app settings and indicated by the "Last updated" date above.
